The legend of Penelope shaped the story of American History

1600 America was rugged and uncertain with harsh conditions. There was starvation, disease, with no modern conveniences and difficult situations with people struggling to survive.

Welcome

Penelope is considered to be one of the first European women in the State of New Jersey to live amongst the Lenape Tribe. The relationship she built with the Native Americans helped the colonists settle the land peacefully. This legend is one of reverence, motivating all to find inner strength to overcome adversity.
